Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Tourism, Textile & Leather and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Do-Co (IS:DOCO), which rose 5.51% or 12.70 points to trade at 243.20 at the close. Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL) added 4.62% or 0.51 points to end at 11.54 and Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL) was up 4.11% or 0.300 points to 7.600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eregli Demir Celik (IS:EREGL), which lost 2.36% or 0.110 points to trade at 4.550 in late trade. Aksa (IS:AKSA) declined 2.33% or 0.20 points to end at 8.37 and Yazicilar Holding (IS:YAZIC) shed 2.21% or 0.31 points to 13.71.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 186 to 141 and 79 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.44% or 5.90 to $1343.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.65% or 1.66 to hit $47.16 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 3.42% or 1.64 to trade at $49.62 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.55% to 2.9526, while EUR/TRY rose 0.72% to 3.3296.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 95.00.
