Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Transport and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which rose 6.58% or 0.290 points to trade at 4.700 at the close. Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) added 5.29% or 0.120 points to end at 2.390 and Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) was up 4.73% or 0.270 points to 5.980 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which lost 3.10% or 0.660 points to trade at 20.600 in late trade. Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) declined 2.41% or 0.140 points to end at 5.670 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) shed 2.37% or 0.56 points to 23.04.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 238 to 121 and 48 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.74% or 9.30 to $1245.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.46% or 0.34 to hit $73.81 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.77% or 1.40 to trade at $77.83 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.69% to 4.6186, while EUR/TRY rose 0.02% to 5.3658.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 94.78.
