Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Leasing & Factoring and Sports sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL), which rose 11.90% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.940 at the close. Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) added 10.45% or 2.340 points to end at 24.740 and Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) was up 6.23% or 0.42 points to 7.16 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which lost 2.74% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.420 in late trade. Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) declined 2.34% or 0.090 points to end at 3.760 and Torunlar Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:TRGYO) shed 1.99% or 0.11 points to 5.43.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 195 to 146 and 66 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.47% or 6.20 to $1321.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.29% or 0.60 to hit $45.97 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.04 to trade at $51.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.02% to 3.4432, while EUR/TRY rose 0.28% to 4.1393.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 91.92.
