Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V), which rose 1.23% or 0.42 points to trade at 34.59 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 0.52% or 0.17 points to end at 33.02 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) was up 0.47% or 0.21 points to 44.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 5.14% or 0.190 points to trade at 3.510 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 4.09% or 0.40 points to end at 9.38 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was down 2.47% or 0.12 points to 4.73.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 110 to 70 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 1.23% or 0.42 to 34.59.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.88% or 0.42 to $48.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.69% or 0.74 to hit $44.61 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.15% or 1.60 to trade at $1089.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.0691, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.7078.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 99.47.
