Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , Other Electronic and Electronic Parts/Components sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted declined 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Yu Foong International Corp (TW:1438), which rose 10.00% or 0.690 points to trade at 7.590 at the close. Aces Electronics Co Ltd (TW:3605) added 9.92% or 1.80 points to end at 19.95 and Hitron Technologies Inc (TW:2419) was up 9.89% or 1.75 points to 19.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharmally International Holding Co Ltd (TW:6452), which lost 9.97% or 17.00 points to trade at 153.50 in late trade. Shunsin Technology Holdings Ltd (TW:6451) declined 9.96% or 6.90 points to end at 62.40 and Career Technology MFG Co Ltd (TW:6153) shed 9.95% or 4.20 points to 38.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 484 to 312 and 103 ended unchanged on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.41% or 0.26 to $62.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.67% or 0.49 to hit $72.68 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1232.20 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.14% to 30.756, while TWD/CNY fell 0.13% to 0.2258.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 96.15.
