Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 1.17% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which rose 1.55% or 2.6 points to trade at 170.5 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) fell 0.13% or 0.2 points to end at 153.5 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) was down 0.29% or 3.0 points to 1037.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which lost 3.34% or 7.20 points to trade at 208.20 in late trade. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 2.72% or 2.2 points to end at 78.6 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) shed 2.18% or 3.30 points to 148.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 360 to 254 and 52 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.02% or 1.15 to $57.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.94% or 0.59 to hit $63.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 8.90 to trade at $1290.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.22% to 9.8729, while USD/SEK fell 0.63% to 8.3758.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 93.44.
