Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 1.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which rose 2.16% or 2.9 points to trade at 136.4 at the close. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) added 0.41% or 0.90 points to end at 222.10 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) was up 0.30% or 1.5 points to 501.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which lost 2.86% or 4.65 points to trade at 158.15 in late trade. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) declined 2.74% or 3.92 points to end at 139.28 and Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) shed 2.56% or 6.0 points to 228.7.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 417 to 209 and 56 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.50% or 0.37 to $73.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.75% or 1.39 to hit $77.84 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 9.30 to trade at $1245.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.01% to 10.4479, while USD/SEK rose 0.65% to 9.0015.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 94.78.
