Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.02% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 0.16% or 0.20 points to trade at 126.20 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) fell 0.14% or 0.2 points to end at 141.8 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was down 0.29% or 0.30 points to 103.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 5.36% or 2.04 points to trade at 36.05 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 2.88% or 1.17 points to end at 39.42 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) shed 2.29% or 4.30 points to 183.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 600 to 133 and 61 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.60% or 0.29 to $48.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.60% or 0.31 to hit $51.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 3.13 to trade at $1293.23 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.38% to 9.6139, while USD/SEK rose 0.04% to 8.1389.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 93.06.
