Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.90%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 0.75% or 1.70 points to trade at 228.00 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) added 0.73% or 0.7 points to end at 98.8 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 0.68% or 3.3 points to 491.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which lost 2.94% or 4.47 points to trade at 147.78 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) declined 2.70% or 6.3 points to end at 226.9 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) shed 2.69% or 6.8 points to 245.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 362 to 245 and 70 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.86% or 1.26 to $68.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.28% or 0.93 to hit $73.32 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 5.00 to trade at $1222.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.33% to 10.3026, while USD/SEK rose 0.70% to 8.8689.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 94.79.
