Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 2.39% or 2.1 points to trade at 89.8 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 1.26% or 2.5 points to end at 197.3 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) was up 0.58% or 2.5 points to 436.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which lost 4.06% or 15.8 points to trade at 373.8 in late trade. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) declined 2.08% or 4.1 points to end at 192.7 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 2.04% or 0.69 points to 33.17.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 370 to 262 and 41 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.32% or 0.72 to $53.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.12% or 0.71 to hit $62.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1228.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.17% to 10.3119, while USD/SEK fell 0.07% to 9.0402.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 96.385.
