Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 0.90% or 2.50 points to trade at 280.30 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 0.74% or 0.33 points to end at 44.73 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 0.36% or 0.70 points to 193.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which lost 2.88% or 4.60 points to trade at 155.40 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 1.79% or 0.29 points to end at 15.94 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) shed 1.22% or 1.40 points to 113.7.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 332 to 273 and 70 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.70% or 0.42 to $59.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.81% or 0.54 to hit $65.92 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.40 to trade at $1290.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.59% to 9.8406, while USD/SEK fell 0.94% to 8.2688.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 92.59.
