Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 3.91% or 18.4 points to trade at 488.6 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) added 3.49% or 3.46 points to end at 102.56 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) was up 2.81% or 6.30 points to 230.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 7.91% or 3.52 points to trade at 40.97 in late trade. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 6.22% or 5.9 points to end at 89.6 and Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) shed 5.72% or 13.4 points to 221.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 315 to 312 and 51 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.31% or 0.21 to $68.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.36% or 0.26 to hit $72.84 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.00 to trade at $1229.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.03% to 10.3814, while USD/SEK fell 0.53% to 8.8664.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 94.36.
