Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 1.46% or 0.15 points to trade at 10.26 at the close. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) added 0.53% or 1.20 points to end at 228.00 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was up 0.44% or 0.5 points to 114.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb), which lost 1.68% or 0.95 points to trade at 55.73 in late trade. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 1.27% or 3.80 points to end at 294.90 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) shed 1.15% or 1.6 points to 137.4.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 368 to 234 and 55 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.98% or 0.62 to $62.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.29% or 0.86 to hit $65.66 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 3.00 to trade at $1321.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.34% to 10.0953, while USD/SEK rose 0.46% to 8.2626.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 90.44.
