Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.12% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which rose 0.91% or 5.0 points to trade at 555.0 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) added 0.83% or 0.7 points to end at 78.7 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) was up 0.78% or 8.0 points to 1037.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 2.46% or 0.43 points to trade at 17.03 in late trade. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 2.06% or 6.00 points to end at 285.70 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 2.01% or 0.80 points to 39.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 406 to 321 and 94 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.20% or 1.25 to $55.51 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.15% or 1.36 to hit $61.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1278.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 1.29% to 9.9088, while USD/SEK rose 0.42% to 8.4193.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.53% at 93.90.
