Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.78%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 4.23% or 6.45 points to trade at 159.00 at the close. Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) added 4.06% or 6.35 points to end at 162.80 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) was up 3.75% or 2.51 points to 69.41 in late trade.
Biggest losers included H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which lost 2.67% or 3.7 points to trade at 133.5 in late trade. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) declined 1.92% or 18.0 points to end at 921.8 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) gained 0.05% or 0.05 points to 105.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 432 to 182 and 61 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.71% or 0.52 to $73.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.06% or 1.60 to hit $79.21 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.20 to trade at $1255.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.21% to 10.4562, while USD/SEK fell 0.73% to 8.9535.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.76% at 94.28.
