Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 4.42% or 3.7 points to trade at 86.5 at the close. Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) added 3.93% or 7.9 points to end at 209.1 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 3.73% or 7.55 points to 210.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which lost 0.81% or 6.2 points to trade at 757.8 in late trade. Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE) declined 0.29% or 0.23 points to end at 79.88 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) shed 0.01% or 0.01 points to 99.55.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 495 to 141 and 41 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.15% or 0.10 to $66.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.22% or 0.17 to hit $76.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 3.90 to trade at $1218.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.47% to 10.3604, while USD/SEK fell 0.33% to 9.1456.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 96.78.
