Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which rose 4.32% or 5.47 points to trade at 132.07 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 4.22% or 32.6 points to end at 805.0 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 3.93% or 2.9 points to 76.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which lost 2.06% or 1.9 points to trade at 92.1 in late trade. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) declined 2.02% or 3.4 points to end at 164.3 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) shed 0.92% or 1.05 points to 112.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 331 to 309 and 43 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.71% or 1.38 to $52.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.39% or 1.42 to hit $60.88 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.12% or 13.70 to trade at $1239.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.54% to 10.2488, while USD/SEK fell 0.91% to 9.0219.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 96.815.
