Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 3.19% or 4.80 points to trade at 155.35 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 1.87% or 3.9 points to end at 212.5 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was up 1.73% or 2.8 points to 164.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which lost 2.09% or 2.9 points to trade at 134.6 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 1.52% or 0.11 points to end at 6.95 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) shed 0.49% or 0.55 points to 110.65.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 324 to 291 and 57 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 3.26% or 2.30 to $72.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.40% or 1.83 to hit $77.97 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.40 to trade at $1256.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.10% to 10.3563, while USD/SEK rose 0.61% to 8.9367.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 94.79.
