Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.68% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 10.39% or 22.2 points to trade at 235.9 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 2.00% or 8.1 points to end at 412.8 and Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) was up 1.69% or 3.6 points to 219.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb), which lost 1.72% or 7.6 points to trade at 434.0 in late trade. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) declined 1.03% or 7.4 points to end at 712.6 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) shed 0.60% or 1.50 points to 248.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 354 to 296 and 39 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.84% or 0.99 to $54.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.22% or 1.35 to hit $62.19 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.35 to trade at $1321.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.14% to 10.3687, while USD/SEK fell 0.10% to 9.0374.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 95.218.
