Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 3.71% or 9.30 points to trade at 259.90 at the close. Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 1.84% or 2.30 points to end at 127.20 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was up 1.59% or 2.5 points to 159.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 4.07% or 1.51 points to trade at 35.63 in late trade. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) declined 0.59% or 1.30 points to end at 220.70 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) shed 0.55% or 0.8 points to 143.7.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 398 to 310 and 88 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.67% or 0.32 to $47.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.26% or 0.13 to hit $50.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1278.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.31% to 9.5039, while USD/SEK rose 0.60% to 8.1223.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 93.93.
