Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AB SKF B (ST:SKFb), which rose 2.45% or 4.5 points to trade at 185.8 at the close. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) added 2.37% or 5.50 points to end at 237.60 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 2.01% or 2.90 points to 147.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 3.05% or 0.51 points to trade at 16.09 in late trade. Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) declined 1.33% or 1.5 points to end at 111.2 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) shed 1.04% or 2.7 points to 257.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 388 to 218 and 53 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.79% or 1.08 to $61.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.56% or 1.04 to hit $67.61 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.10 to trade at $1318.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.19% to 9.8314, while USD/SEK rose 0.05% to 8.1718.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 91.78.
