Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa), which rose 1.65% or 1.8 points to trade at 110.9 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 1.31% or 14.0 points to end at 1084.0 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) was up 1.25% or 1.5 points to 121.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which lost 1.78% or 3.40 points to trade at 187.70 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 1.54% or 0.26 points to end at 16.62 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) shed 1.36% or 2.15 points to 155.85.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 342 to 273 and 59 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.18% or 0.66 to $56.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.39% or 0.85 to hit $62.07 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.86% or 10.90 to trade at $1255.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.39% to 9.9878, while USD/SEK rose 0.40% to 8.4693.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 93.62.
