Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA), which rose 3.61% or 1.41 points to trade at 40.47 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) added 2.50% or 2.56 points to end at 105.11 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 2.48% or 3.67 points to 151.82 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb), which lost 4.72% or 14.9 points to trade at 300.9 in late trade. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) declined 3.30% or 7.60 points to end at 222.80 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) shed 2.89% or 7.50 points to 251.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 324 to 292 and 56 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.22% or 0.15 to $68.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.34% or 0.25 to hit $73.32 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 6.00 to trade at $1225.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.08% to 10.3646, while USD/SEK rose 0.08% to 8.8567.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 94.34.
