Suvo Strategic Minerals Ltd (ASX:SUV) welcomes the move by Dowsing Group to facilitate a demonstration pour of Colliecrete on the Bunbury Outer Ring Road Project (BORR) in Western Australia.
In January 2024, Suvo received an invitation from the Sustainability Waste Alliance to complete a demonstration pour of Colliecrete – the low-carbon concrete alternative that reduces carbon emissions by 50-70%, to which the company holds the rights — by way of an exclusive licensing agreement with Murdoch University.
Currently under construction by the South-West Gateway Alliance for Main Roads Western Australia, the BORR is the largest road infrastructure project in the history of the southwest of Western Australia.
Peel Resource Recovery, a waste management company in Kemerton, Western Australia — roughly 20 kilometres from the BORR — has agreed to provide land and services to Suvo and Dowsing to complete several trial pours of Colliecrete prior to the demonstration pour on the BORR.
Dowsing is one of Australia’s leading civil contractors specialising in slipform concrete pavements, barriers, kerbing, footpaths, hardscapes and civil services.
Chemical engineer Peter Snowsill joins Suvo
Additionally, Suvo reports that Peter Snowsill — a chemical engineer with more than 30 years of industry experience — has joined the company on a three-day per week basis. Having held senior executive positions across the technology and engineering sectors, Snowsill will be a key resource, assisting the company in its pursuit to commercialise its low-carbon geopolymer concrete IP.
Snowsill’s experience incorporates technology development and commercialisation, contracting strategies, project and commercial team development, and project execution for pilot and commercial scale packaged process equipment projects across broad industrial and government market sectors.
