As it works to progress the Heemskirk Tin Project and other projects in northeast Tasmania, Stellar Resources Ltd (ASX:SRZ) non-executive director Simon Taylor will step into the non-executive chairman role effective immediately.
This change will see Simon O’Loughlin step down from the position and revert to a non-executive director.
A resources industry executive with more than 30 years of experience in geology, finance and corporate management at CEO and board levels, Taylor has been a non-executive director of Stellar since December 2019.
Vast experience
Taylor’s direct operational and capital markets experience spans a wide range of commodities and jurisdictions including Africa, Australia, South and North America, Europe and China.
He has also advised companies at the corporate level on capital management, acquisitions, promotions and strategies to add shareholder value.
Taylor was most recently managing director of Oklo Resources Ltd when it was acquired by B2Gold Corp in September 2022 and is currently a non-executive director of Chesser Resources Ltd, Black Canyon Resources Ltd and Petratherm Ltd.
Taylor is a Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (MAIG) and a graduate of Sydney University.
"Exciting new period"
O’Loughlin said: “It has been a great privilege to serve as non-executive chairman for the company and I welcome the opportunity to continue on as non-executive director.
"The board and I decided that our current non-executive director Simon Taylor will become non-executive chairman to utilise his extensive experience and expertise as the company enters an exciting new period as we progress the Heemskirk Tin Project and other projects in NE Tasmania.”
