Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Stores & Supplies, Investment Trust and Footwear & Textile sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH) added 20.00% or 0.100 points to end at 0.600 and Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU) was up 16.67% or 0.100 points to 0.700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amaya Leisure PLC (CM:CONN), which lost 12.40% or 5.94 points to trade at 42.00 in late trade. Hunter & Company PLC (CM:HUNT) declined 11.78% or 54.20 points to end at 406.00 and Nation Lanka Finance PLC (CM:CSF) shed 11.11% or 0.100 points to 0.800.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 90 to 67 and 46 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.28% or 0.19 to $67.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $72.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.80% or 9.70 to trade at $1209.30 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.10% to 204.025, while USD/LKR rose 0.05% to 160.040.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 96.25.
