Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Footwear & Textile and Diversified Holdings sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Trade Finance & Investments PLC (CM:TFIL), which rose 17.65% or 8.70 points to trade at 58.00 at the close. Lankem Ceylon PLC (CM:LCEY) added 15.38% or 6.00 points to end at 45.00 and Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL) was up 14.29% or 0.100 points to 0.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which lost 50.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.1000 in late trade. Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) declined 33.33% or 0.100 points to end at 0.200 and Huejay International Investments PLC (CM:HUEJ) shed 23.68% or 9.00 points to 29.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 89 and 53 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.88% or 0.54 to $62.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.59% or 0.38 to hit $65.22 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 5.50 to trade at $1350.70 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.02% to 218.110, while USD/LKR rose 0.17% to 155.490.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 89.02.
