Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Building & Construction and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Amadeus IT (MC:AMA), which rose 4.18% or 2.045 points to trade at 51.000 at the close. Aena Aeropuertos SA (MC:AENA) added 2.80% or 4.80 points to end at 176.40 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) was up 2.35% or 0.160 points to 6.981 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gamesa (MC:GAM), which lost 2.24% or 0.455 points to trade at 19.890 in late trade. BBVA (MC:BBVA) declined 1.64% or 0.123 points to end at 7.362 and ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS) shed 1.58% or 0.570 points to 35.590.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 85 and 16 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.43% or 5.41 to $1262.69 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.96% or 0.48 to hit $49.32 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.35% or 0.71 to trade at $51.93 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1175, while EUR/GBP rose 0.05% to 0.8701.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 97.30.
