Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Building & Construction and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Aena SME SA (MC:AENA), which rose 1.62% or 2.30 points to trade at 144.50 at the close. Acciona (MC:ANA) added 1.43% or 1.080 points to end at 76.840 and Viscofan (MC:VIS) was up 1.20% or 0.750 points to 63.250 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which lost 4.00% or 1.075 points to trade at 25.800 in late trade. Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM) declined 3.46% or 0.350 points to end at 9.780 and Cie Automotive (MC:CIEA) shed 3.42% or 0.900 points to 25.400.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 118 to 51 and 25 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.27% or 3.20 to $1204.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.42% or 0.31 to hit $74.64 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.14% or 0.12 to trade at $84.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1511, while EUR/GBP fell 0.59% to 0.8790.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 95.38.
