Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS), which rose 2.06% or 0.700 points to trade at 34.740 at the close. Enagas (MC:ENAG) added 1.74% or 0.420 points to end at 24.600 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) was up 1.62% or 0.118 points to 7.380 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Indra A (MC:IDR), which lost 8.67% or 0.815 points to trade at 8.580 in late trade. BBVA (MC:BBVA) declined 5.64% or 0.294 points to end at 4.923 and Acerinox (MC:ACX) shed 5.57% or 0.554 points to 9.386.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 93 to 74 and 15 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.38% or 16.90 to $1209.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.25% or 0.76 to hit $59.91 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.05% or 0.74 to trade at $69.91 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1327, while EUR/GBP rose 0.31% to 0.8727.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 96.78.
