Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Building & Construction and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which rose 2.64% or 0.590 points to trade at 22.950 at the close. Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) added 2.47% or 0.49 points to end at 20.30 and Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) was up 1.18% or 0.670 points to 57.440 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mapfre (MC:MAP), which lost 2.20% or 0.060 points to trade at 2.670 in late trade. Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM) declined 1.65% or 0.210 points to end at 12.555 and Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA) shed 1.55% or 0.069 points to 4.381.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 67 and 25 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.51% or 6.55 to $1295.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.11% or 0.57 to hit $50.73 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.91% or 0.52 to trade at $56.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1842, while EUR/GBP fell 0.45% to 0.8931.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 92.90.
