Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Building & Construction and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX), which rose 6.31% or 0.83 points to trade at 13.99 at the close. International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) added 3.13% or 0.174 points to end at 5.724 and Gamesa (MC:GAM) was up 2.75% or 0.535 points to 19.965 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BBVA (MC:BBVA), which lost 1.39% or 0.087 points to trade at 6.188 in late trade. Enagas (MC:ENAG) declined 1.30% or 0.295 points to end at 22.405 and Gas Natural (MC:GAS) shed 1.21% or 0.215 points to 17.605.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 71 and 16 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.54% or 6.55 to $1204.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.49% or 0.26 to hit $53.07 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.65% or 0.36 to trade at $55.94 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.44% to 1.0749, while EUR/GBP fell 0.90% to 0.8505.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 99.89.
