Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which rose 2.54% or 0.242 points to trade at 9.788 at the close. Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (MC:COL) added 2.01% or 0.175 points to end at 8.875 and ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) was up 2.00% or 0.510 points to 26.040 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Indra A (MC:IDR), which lost 1.34% or 0.125 points to trade at 9.225 in late trade. Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) declined 0.98% or 0.740 points to end at 74.620 and Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) shed 0.83% or 0.190 points to 22.750.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 111 to 69 and 20 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.24% or 2.90 to $1191.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.65% or 0.48 to hit $74.77 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.93% or 0.78 to trade at $84.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1485, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.8742.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 95.43.
