Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Building & Construction and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Abertis Infr (MC:ABE), which rose 7.01% or 1.235 points to trade at 18.840 at the close. ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS) added 5.17% or 1.625 points to end at 33.050 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) was up 2.65% or 0.189 points to 7.308 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which lost 1.58% or 0.190 points to trade at 11.840 in late trade. Inditex (MC:ITX) declined 0.59% or 0.185 points to end at 31.260 and Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) shed 0.52% or 0.135 points to 25.755.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 59 and 20 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.12% or 1.48 to $1284.72 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $51.91 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.22% or 0.13 to trade at $58.01 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.22% to 1.1792, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8935.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 93.28.
