Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Hotels & Tourism, Agriculture & Food and Media & Publishing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Middle East Specialized Cables Co (SE:2370), which rose 2.91% or 0.30 points to trade at 10.60 at the close. Saudi vitrified clay pipes co. (SE:2360) added 2.54% or 1.05 points to end at 42.40 and National Metal Manufacturing Co. (SE:2220) was up 2.44% or 0.40 points to 16.76 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ALAHLI TAKAFUL COMPANY (SE:8130), which lost 1.56% or 0.38 points to trade at 23.98 in late trade. Herfy Food Services Co (SE:6002) declined 1.54% or 0.90 points to end at 57.40 and Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Company (SE:4001) shed 1.52% or 1.20 points to 77.60.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 88 to 86 and 18 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.80% or 0.46 to $56.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.53% or 0.34 to hit $63.48 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 3.15 to trade at $1417.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.05% to 4.2309, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7503.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 96.338.
