Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Retail and Energy & Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8040), which rose 9.96% or 2.65 points to trade at 29.25 at the close. Abdullah A. M. Al-Khodari Sons Co (SE:1330) added 7.54% or 0.50 points to end at 7.13 and ACE ARABIA COOPERATIVE INSURANCE (SE:8240) was up 4.70% or 0.88 points to 19.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eastern Province Cement Co. (SE:3080), which lost 2.85% or 0.64 points to trade at 21.80 in late trade. Saudi Arabia Refineries Co. (SE:2030) declined 1.52% or 0.65 points to end at 42.20 and Dur Hospitality (SE:4010) shed 1.30% or 0.26 points to 19.74.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 127 to 44 and 14 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.88% or 0.97 to $52.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.66% or 1.00 to hit $61.20 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 3.05 to trade at $1250.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.22% to 4.2561, while USD/SAR fell 0.00% to 3.7517.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 97.218.
