Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Insurance and Hotels & Tourism sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.06% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Anb Insurance (SE:8011), which rose 9.57% or 3.60 points to trade at 41.20 at the close. Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8280) added 9.27% or 2.90 points to end at 34.20 and Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Company (SE:8012) was up 4.41% or 1.50 points to 35.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi Indian Company Insurance (SE:8110), which lost 3.52% or 0.35 points to trade at 9.60 in late trade. Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) declined 3.19% or 1.30 points to end at 39.50 and Saudi Automotive Services Co. (SE:4050) shed 3.06% or 0.55 points to 17.45.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 82 to 63 and 22 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.41% or 0.17 to $41.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.68% or 0.28 to hit $41.48 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.73% or 9.20 to trade at $1245.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.01% to 4.2269, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 95.17.
