MELBOURNE, Oct 22 (Reuters) - Scepter, which made a A$7.1 billion ($5.1 billion) offer for Santos STO.AX , said on Thursday it would put the company's former chief executive John Ellice-Flint at the helm of a privatised group if it succeeded with a bid.
Santos rejected Scepter's offer of A$6.88 a share earlier on Thursday, calling it opportunistic.
