Investing.com – Russia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia declined 0.91%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the MOEX Russia were Rosseti ao (MCX:RSTI), which rose 11.96% or 0.0851 points to trade at 0.7966 at the close. FSK EES (MCX:FEES) added 2.38% or 0.0039 points to end at 0.1657 and Inter rao ees (MCX:IRAO) was up 1.78% or 0.0720 points to 4.1095 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lukoil (MCX:LKOH), which lost 2.34% or 117.5 points to trade at 4898.5 in late trade. Tatneft-3 (MCX:TATN) declined 2.33% or 19.40 points to end at 813.80 and Sberbank Rossii PAO (MCX:SBER) shed 2.30% or 4.70 points to 199.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 116 to 93 and 20 ended unchanged on the Moscow Stock Exchange.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was up 0.57% to 26.320.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.49% or 17.80 to $1209.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.09% or 0.07 to hit $75.23 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.06% or 0.05 to trade at $85.03 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.48% to 65.2970, while EUR/RUB rose 0.38% to 75.4900.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 95.03.
