QMines Ltd (ASX:QML) has leveraged an electromagnetic (EM) survey to identify a cluster of anomalous signatures at the newly discovered Artillery Road Prospect of the Mt Chalmers Copper and Gold Project in Queensland.
Emergo and Mitre Geophysics’ EM inversion analysis and modelling have also identified induced polarisation (IP) targets at depth, offering a more accurate model of ground resistivity and potential disseminated sulphides at depth.
The combination of geophysics has identified a new target dubbed 'VTSCI_01_A', which is thought to be a large, deep, strong conductive anomaly coincident with a mapped quartz felsic porphyry intrusive.
QMines’ exploration programs have outlined a large, mineralised skarn deposit at Artillery Road and identified five areas as priority drilling targets.
"Excellent pipeline"
“The company will commence drilling these new targets once field investigation is completed and access and compensation agreements have been finalised,” QMines executive chair Andrew Sparke said.
“With 40 plus electromagnetic and newly identified induced polarisation anomalies to assess, QMines has an excellent pipeline of regional drilling targets that will extend well into the future.”
The company is preparing access agreements, with an eye to begin ground truthing, mapping and soil sampling over the targets, which will inform a drilling program over several anomalies.
