Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banif SA (LS:BANIF), which rose 3.70% or 0.0001 points to trade at 0.0028 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 2.14% or 0.1020 points to end at 4.8740 and Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) was up 2.00% or 0.0220 points to 1.1220 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 5.06% or 0.0210 points to trade at 0.3940 at the close. REN (LS:RENE) declined 2.98% or 0.0830 points to end at 2.7000 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was down 1.63% or 0.0390 points to 2.3500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 26 to 23 and 1 ended unchanged.
Shares in Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.14% or 0.1020 to 4.8740.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.09% or 0.53 to $47.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.73% or 0.78 to hit $44.42 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.49% or 16.40 to trade at $1087.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.38% to 1.0733, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.7138.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.29% at 99.35.
