Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 1.01%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 6.37% or 0.1310 points to trade at 2.1880 at the close. Meanwhile, Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 2.44% or 0.1760 points to end at 7.4000 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPRu) was up 2.41% or 0.1480 points to 6.2800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banif SA (LS:BANIF), which fell 6.67% or 0.0002 points to trade at 0.0028 at the close. Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) declined 2.01% or 0.0230 points to end at 1.1210 and Teixeira Duarte (LS:TDSA) was down 1.78% or 0.0080 points to 0.4410.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 35 to 15 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banif SA (LS:BANIF) fell to all time lows; falling 6.67% or 0.0002 to 0.0028.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.04 to $48.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.34% or 0.61 to hit $44.77 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.32% or 3.70 to trade at $1162.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.81% to 1.1015, while EUR/GBP fell 0.51% to 0.7179.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.73% at 97.13.
