Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 1.05% or 0.0170 points to trade at 1.6370 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 0.03% or 0.0050 points to end at 15.4750 and Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to 1.1300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 5.19% or 0.0008 points to trade at 0.0146 in late trade. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 1.53% or 0.1110 points to end at 7.1400 and EDP (LS:EDP) shed 1.44% or 0.0430 points to 2.9470.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 35 to 10 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 3.13% or 1.49 to $46.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.43% or 1.59 to hit $44.73 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.19% or 2.55 to trade at $1342.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1231, while EUR/GBP rose 0.97% to 0.8657.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 95.36.
