Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 1.91%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR), which rose 0.84% or 0.0700 points to trade at 8.4250 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) added 0.45% or 0.050 points to end at 11.200 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 0.14% or 0.0040 points to 2.9380 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 4.54% or 0.0115 points to trade at 0.2420 in late trade. F.Rama (LS:RAMA) declined 4.49% or 0.400 points to end at 8.500 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) shed 3.27% or 0.1050 points to 3.1050.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 26 to 10 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 3.25% or 2.47 to $73.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 3.08% or 2.06 to hit $64.83 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.14% or 28.00 to trade at $1280.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.1604, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.8738.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 94.80.
