Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 3.98% or 0.460 points to trade at 12.010 at the close. Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) added 0.50% or 0.016 points to end at 3.206 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 0.28% or 0.0090 points to 3.2540 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which lost 2.83% or 0.330 points to trade at 11.315 in late trade. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 1.83% or 0.0140 points to end at 0.7520 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) shed 1.55% or 0.0035 points to 0.2230.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 28 to 12 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.64% or 0.34 to $52.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.25% or 0.12 to hit $47.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 9.07 to trade at $1339.47 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.45% to 1.1913, while EUR/GBP rose 0.63% to 0.9223.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 92.50.
