Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 2.38% or 0.0200 points to trade at 0.8600 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 0.74% or 0.1200 points to end at 16.2400 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 0.17% or 0.020 points to 12.120 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 5.87% or 0.0220 points to trade at 0.3530 in late trade. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 2.69% or 0.1400 points to end at 5.0590 and REN (LS:RENE) shed 2.05% or 0.0510 points to 2.4380.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 14 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.27% or 0.17 to $63.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.45% or 0.84 to hit $58.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.82 to trade at $1287.38 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.67% to 1.1930, while EUR/GBP rose 0.52% to 0.8949.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 92.69.
