Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 1.81% or 0.0160 points to trade at 0.8980 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 1.39% or 0.1900 points to end at 13.8600 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 0.72% or 0.060 points to 8.360 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 2.42% or 0.0044 points to trade at 0.1772 in late trade. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) declined 1.83% or 0.1050 points to end at 5.6250 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) shed 1.77% or 0.0760 points to 4.2060.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 16 on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.35% or 0.22 to $62.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.65% or 0.91 to hit $54.35 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 3.15 to trade at $1318.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.1435, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.8760.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 95.553.
