Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS:SEM), which rose 4.74% or 0.7350 points to trade at 16.2300 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 1.56% or 0.0640 points to end at 4.1640 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 0.55% or 0.0280 points to 5.0870 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 12.18% or 0.0430 points to trade at 0.3100 in late trade. Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) declined 3.82% or 0.117 points to end at 2.945 and REN (LS:RENE) shed 1.97% or 0.0480 points to 2.3900.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 14 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.24% or 0.15 to $63.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.34% or 0.79 to hit $58.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.61% or 7.85 to trade at $1295.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.1900, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8925.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 92.81.
