Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS), which rose 1.27% or 0.0620 points to trade at 4.9540 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) added 0.89% or 0.100 points to end at 11.350 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was up 0.88% or 0.0700 points to 8.0200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 3.12% or 0.0090 points to trade at 0.2795 in late trade. F.Rama (LS:RAMA) declined 1.60% or 0.200 points to end at 12.300 and Sonae (LS:YSO) shed 1.49% or 0.0170 points to 1.1270.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 12 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.57% or 0.42 to $74.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $68.00 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.40 to trade at $1318.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.2122, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8706.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 91.27.
