Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS:SEM), which rose 2.30% or 0.4200 points to trade at 18.6800 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 2.22% or 0.0960 points to end at 4.4300 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 1.85% or 0.0850 points to 4.6700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 2.19% or 0.0066 points to trade at 0.2954 in late trade. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) declined 2.08% or 0.3200 points to end at 15.0750 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) shed 1.32% or 0.0500 points to 3.7500.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 12 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.23% or 0.15 to $65.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.14% or 0.09 to hit $62.48 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.24% or 16.40 to trade at $1336.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.55% to 1.2404, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.8932.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 89.58.
